My review of the Nathan Reflex Reflective Snap Bands

Today I am reviewing the Nathan Reflex Reflective Snap Bands.  I was particularly interested in these since the majority of my runs are pre-dawn and being seen is crucial to my safety. These bands are fully reflective in the dark up to 400 feet, easy to put on, can be worn on the wrist, ankle, or bag and come in a package of two. These may also be used to keep your pants legs away from the bike chain.

I found these a bit tight which is unusual because I have very small wrists. Maybe after wearing them a few times they will loosen up. The next time I will try them on my ankles. I appreciated that there are no snaps, ties, or other closure devices. All I had to do was unroll them and put them on. Trust me, at 4:45am, simple is all I can do.

Since they are bands, they do not flap around or need to be adjusted. There was nothing to snag. No real additional weight. After putting them on I forgot they were on my wrists, which is exactly the way, I like it. No interference what so ever with my run.

I did not put them on my bare arms. I wore them over a long sleeved shirt. I do not anticipate any greater discomfort when I wear them without sleeves. In fact, maybe they will be a bit looser. They wrapped around my wrists more than twice so I honestly believe that one size fits most, if not all.

I guess that cars could see me. I did not have any close calls and cars did stop for me when I was in the crosswalk. Maybe that was a combination of the drivers being courteous and my high visibility. I wonder if the deer will react the same way.dark solo

I tested the bright yellow bands, but have seen that they come in bright pink and orange as well.  These would be awesome if they were made out of wicking fabric and could be used as sweat bands as well. I will definitely wear these again. I give them four high fives.
