Yoga Bio

I say do not stop now, time passes whether you are authentically living your life or not. I am an author, speaker, marathon runner, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and awesome sister-girlfriend. I get more done before 9 am than most people do all day and yes, I am an Army veteran. Oh, and I’m told I make an amazing Apple Pie but I don’t eat it… I don’t like cinnamon or English peas.

I am an activist. I am crazy for dreams realized, goals reached, perceptions changed, ceilings cracked, social justice, runner’s high, and high heels.

I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2017, Yoga for All (YFA)  certification in 2021, and am a member of the Black Yoga Teacher Alliance (BYTA).

I teach various classes throughout the community and children at Heard Elementary School. I also developed a diversity and inclusion training module for www.readytoteachyoga.com.

My yoga philosophy is to make the poses fit your body not the other way around and have fun doing it. Do not ever apologize to anyone including yourself for the way your body looks or moves. All bodies are beautiful and worthy of acceptance.

If you are always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be. ~Maya Angelou
